The consortium led by LG CNS has been selected as the preferred bidder in the competition for private business operators (SPC) of the Eco Delta City – the National Pilot Smart City.

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and the Korea Water Resources Corporation selected the Human(人) Consortium led by LG CNS, in a final review conducted on companies that submitted letters of intent to participate in Daejeon on April 21.

"The Human(人) Consortium" is a consortium that LG CNS leads, with △ Shinhan Bank (financial sector), △Hyundai Engineering & Construction (construction sector), and △SK Eco Plant (energy sector) as open partners. The △ Kakao Mobility △ LG Hello Vision and others participated as open partnership companies as well.

The LG CNS consortium was finally selected by presenting a business plan to invest 5.4 trillion won over five years to build and operate the Busan Eco Delta Smart City, the National Demonstration City for 10 years with the goal of realizing "W-Able City - a water-friendly city that impresses citizens."

Meanwhile, Eco Delta Smart City will be in charge of creating and operating cities by setting up SPCs by private businesses that will implement smart technologies and public businesses that provide administrative support accordingly.

The Korea Water Resources Corporation, Busan City, and Busan City Corporation will participate as public operators.

The smart city, which will be built in Eco Delta City in Gangseo-gu, Busan, is a future city that applies various smart technologies by concentrating on major urban functions such as ▷ Housing ▷ Commercial ▷ R&D ▷ Culture ▷ Leisure ▷ Healthcare with 3,380 households in 2.8㎢.
